Job summary

Allied Universal in Forest, MS seeks a Security Officer Flex Unarmed Patrol to protect client sites across industries. You will perform patrols, respond to incidents, and support site safety with flexibility to pick up shifts through our self-scheduling program.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Active Department of Defense Confidential clearance required.
• Able to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Reliable transportation for Branch Flex assignments.
• Willingness to travel as needed for Branch Flex assignments.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• Background investigation and drug screen required by employer.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions affecting security or safety.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire in case of emergencies.
• Warn violators of infractions and manage access points.
• Observe and document incidents; maintain post logs as required.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally.

The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more. In this role, you can expect to work 8–40 hours per week, offering steady income and opportunities for growth. Your schedule will vary week to week, based on a combination of manager-assigned shifts and those you pick up through our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments will change regularly, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals who are adaptable, dependable, and ready to take on new challenges. Please note that you will be assigned to work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

Pay Rate: $15.48 / Hour

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Basic Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an active Department of Defense Confidential clearance.
• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, for Branch Flex assignments.
• Have reliable transportation for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be able to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
