Job summary

Allied Universal in Greenville, SC is seeking a Flex Part-Time Security Officer. You will provide customer service, control access and patrol residential communities, with a schedule that supports day shifts.

Pay rate is $14.39 per hour. The role requires basic security duties, incident response, and reporting with a focus on community safety and service.

Qualifications

• Guard card/license preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following site procedures and security policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and report them per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas and perimeters; report unusual activity.
• Monitor cameras, intercoms, gates and security equipment; perform routine checks of doors, lights and access points.
• Complete detailed daily activity, incident, and observation reports; share key information with supervision.

You will support access control, respond to resident and guest concerns, and communicate clearly with your team and site contacts. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies, including access control and visitor management as assigned.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate parties per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; report unusual activity and conditions.
• Monitor cameras, intercoms, gates, and/or other security-related equipment as assigned, and complete routine checks of doors, lighting, and access points.
• Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate key information to Allied Universal supervision and oncoming officers.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
