Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex Unarmed Patrol Deployment in Philadelphia, PA. The role offers a 30–40 hour work week with flexible scheduling; you may pick up shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. Shifts, locations, and assignments change regularly to fit client needs.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour. You will perform patrols, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents while maintaining logs and reports for a variety of sites.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation to and from assignments.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be willing to travel the required distance for assignments.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws; valid driver’s license for driving posts.

Responsibilities

• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in emergencies.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and monitor entrances/exits.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Basic Qualifications:

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
