Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions creating security or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire department when needed.
• Warn violators of infractions and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect property and ensure authorized removal.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as required by site orders.

Your schedule will vary week to week, based on a combination of manager-assigned shifts and those you pick up through our Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift self‑scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments will change regularly, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals who are adaptable, dependable, and ready to take on new challenges. Please note that you will be assigned to work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

Pay Rate: $17.99 / Hour

1. Security Experience:

   • Candidates must have a minimum of one year of relevant security experience (C115). This experience should be documented and verifiable.

2. Valid Driver's License:

   • All candidates must possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). A copy of the license must be submitted during the application process.

3. Branch Flexibility:

   • Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends (C162). Flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet the operational needs of the branch.

4. Reliable Transportation:

   • Candidates must have reliable transportation to ensure punctuality and attendance (C163). This is critical for maintaining operational efficiency.

5. Travel Distance:

   • Candidates should be aware of the travel distance to the site location and confirm their ability to commute without issues (C164).

6. Last Minute Shift Scheduling:

   • Candidates must be comfortable with last-minute shift scheduling (C165). This may include being called in to work on short notice based on operational requirements.

7. Technology Proficiency:

   • Candidates should be comfortable using a computer or tablet (B204). Proficiency in basic software applications and communication tools is required for effective job performance.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Must be able to travel required distances.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
