Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex Patrol in Ontario, CA. The role offers 30–40 hours per week with a flexible, manager-assisted and self-scheduled shift model.

You will patrol sites, respond to incidents, and support client needs. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour, with opportunities for growth within a leading security services company.

Qualifications

• Require at least 1 year security-related experience.
• Be available for varying shifts, including nights, holidays, weekends.
• Have reliable transportation for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be able to travel as needed for Branch Flex.
• Age: 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed).
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions creating security concerns or hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire in emergencies.
• Warn violators of rule infractions (loitering, smoking, etc.).
• Control entry and monitor entrances/exits for authorized personnel.
• Log incidents and maintain written reports as required.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously.
• Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders.

Your schedule will vary week to week, based on a combination of manager-assigned shifts and those you pick up through our Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments will change regularly, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals who are adaptable, dependable, and ready to take on new challenges. Please note that you will be assigned to work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Basic Qualifications:

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, as a Branch Flex employee.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Have reliable transportation for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be available for last-minute Branch Flex shift scheduling.
• Be able to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
