Responsibilities

• Answer and route telephone calls, provide directions and information, and communicate professionally with site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Support access control and other security‑related administrative duties, including documenting incidents and maintaining logs.

As a Security Officer Flex Part Time - Active Clearance Requiredin San Diego, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.61 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and other authorized personnel at a front desk location within an aerospace and defense environment, following site‑specific procedures and access protocols.
• Monitor entry activity, verify identification and credentials, issue visitor badges as authorized, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.
• Answer and route telephone calls, provide directions and general information, and communicate professionally with site personnel and guests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
• Support access control and other security‑related administrative duties, including documenting incidents, maintaining logs, and reporting unusual activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
