Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to safeguard client sites across various industries. You will use a shift-pickup platform to select shifts that fit your availability and gain diverse site experience.

Responsibilities include patrols, access control, incident reporting, and emergency response. Candidates should have security experience, be 21+, and possess or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable security experience.
• Valid driver's license if driving company or customer-owned vehicles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• 18+ (21+ if armed) per state regulations.
• Experience with access control systems and badge management.
• Experience operating alarm panels and emergency protocols.
• Proficient with computers/tablets and basic software.
• CPR certification required or obtainable through offered training.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Respond to emergencies and follow site Post Orders.

The Security Professional Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, Education, Finance and more. The Security Professional Flex Officer may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

• Age Requirement:
  • All candidates must be at least 21 years of age (C101) at the time of application. This requirement is in place to ensure compliance with industry regulations
• Security Experience:
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant security experience (C114). This experience should be verifiable and directly related to the responsibilities of the position for which they are applying. This requirement is crucial for maintaining the integrity and safety of our operations.
• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):
  • Candidates must demonstrate prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.
• Alarm Panel Experience (B202):
  • Candidates should have experience operating alarm panels, including knowledge of alarm system protocols, troubleshooting, and emergency response procedures.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):
  • Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential. Candidates should be comfortable navigating software applications, managing emails, and utilizing digital communication tools.
• CPR Certification (B205):
  • Candidates must possess a valid CPR certification. Allied Universal offers free training sessions for candidates who do not currently hold this certification. Proof of certification must be submitted prior to employment.
• Customer Service Experience (B219):
  • A background in customer service is required. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Qualifications (must Have)

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer‑owned vehicle
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws; Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by lawNo prior experience required
