Allied Universal in Shelton, CT is hiring a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer. This role offers flexible hours with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to pick up additional shifts across sites.

You will provide customer service to residents and staff, perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner. A high school diploma is required and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all laws.
• A drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential areas, parking lots, exteriors, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity per site procedures.
• Document observations and incidents and communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

Security Officer Flex Financial Centerin Shelton, CT, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

DayTimeThur07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
