Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex Driver in Harrisburg, PA to support a variety of client sites. The role offers up to 40 hours weekly with shifts that change, including nights and weekends, and requires reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Be available to work varying Branch Flex shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Have reliable transportation for Branch Flex assignments.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be available to accept Branch Flex shifts scheduled with limited notice.
• Be able to travel required distances for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Your schedule will vary week to week, based on a combination of manager-assigned shifts and those you pick up through our Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift self-scheduling program. Please note that you will be assigned to work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

Pay Rate: $17.94 / Hour

• Security Experience: Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of relevant security experience prior to employment. This experience should be verifiable and relevant to the position for which the candidate is applying.
• Valid Driver's License All candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. This is essential for roles that require driving as part of the job responsibilities.
• Branch Flex – Work Varying Shifts Candidates must be willing to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends. Flexibility in scheduling is crucial to meet the operational needs of the branch.
• Branch Flex – Reliable Transportation Candidates must have reliable transportation to ensure punctuality and attendance at work. This is particularly important for roles that may require travel to different locations.
• Branch Flex – Travel Distance Candidates should be aware of the travel distance to the branch location. It is important that candidates can commute to work without significant delays or issues.
• Branch Flex – Last Minute Shift Scheduling Candidates must be prepared for last‑minute shift scheduling. The ability to adapt to sudden changes in work schedules is essential for maintaining operational efficiency.
