Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Flex Coverage in Mesa, AZ. This part-time, enhanced position offers fixed anchor shifts with optional additional shifts via a scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $20.00 per hour and shifts run Wed and Thu evenings, with a six-month anchor commitment. The role includes responding to incidents, patrolling, monitoring access, and logging activities.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Age 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed).
• Background check and drug screen required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures and security protocols at an automotive manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly following emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity or hazards to leadership.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation; communicate information to Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer - Flex Coverage in Mesa, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PMThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at an automotive manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
