ProGuard Security Services is seeking a Security Officer for a flex, hourly role in San Francisco, CA. The officer will manage access control, greet visitors, monitor CCTV, and perform on-foot patrols while maintaining safety and professional conduct.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and control access to the facility using access control systems and verify identification of individuals entering the premises.
• Conduct routine patrols of the property, including climbing stairs and inspecting all areas to detect and deter suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Operate wireless communication devices and radios to maintain contact with security team and report incidents promptly.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations to ensure accurate record-keeping and accountability.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Access Control: Manage and monitor entry and exit points to ensure authorized access.
• Greeting & Acknowledging: Greet and acknowledge all individuals entering and exiting the building, and courteously open doors for them.
• CCTV Monitoring: Observe surveillance systems to maintain security and identify potential issues.
• Walking Patrols: Conduct routine on-foot patrols to ensure safety and address concerns. Evey 30 minutes
• Console Operation: Utilize computer systems for security operations and reporting.
• Visitor & Contractor Assistance: Greet and assist visitors and contractors in a professional manner.
• Call Management: Handle incoming calls promptly and efficiently.
• Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations.
• Incident Reporting: Accurately document and report incidents to support resolution and recordkeeping.
• Property Awareness: Monitor and address unauthorized camping or loitering on the property.
• Central Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for security-related inquiries.

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in security or a related field.
• Standing Post: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift, while on duty.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and maintain positive working relationships.

About the Role

The Security Officer plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property within the assigned premises. This position involves monitoring access points, conducting regular patrols, and responding promptly to any security incidents or emergencies. The Security Officer ensures compliance with all safety protocols and company policies while effectively communicating with team members and external agencies as needed. By utilizing technology and physical vigilance, the officer helps prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security threats. Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a security guard or in a related security role.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems and wireless communication technology.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and repetitive motions required for patrol duties.
• Strong oral communication skills to effectively interact with team members, visitors, and emergency personnel.
