Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Tablet Assisted Patrol in Sterling, VA. This role provides reliable, flexible hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will deliver customer service at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, perform patrols, monitor access points, and follow site procedures while upholding Allied Universal's standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, perimeter, entry points, and parking areas.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Tablet Assisted Patrol in Sterling, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.29 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
