Job summary

Surefox North America Inc is seeking experienced part-time Security Officers with high integrity for multiple Surefox locations around San Francisco and Sunnyvale, CA. The ISOC PTE Security Officer will provide observation, security, and overwatch for various programs, with background checks required and SPAT prerequisites.

The role supports staffing during shortages and may require weekend/holiday work with limited notice.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support staffing requirements at multiple Surefox campus locations during shortages.
• Staff various positions as required (Resilience Officer, Incident Commander, Supervisor).
• Work security at events, as required.
• Be available to work weekends and holidays with limited notice.
• Work multiple shifts: Days, Swings, and Graves.
• Staff multiple offices until permanent positions are filled.
• Follow SOPs set by programs/clients.
• Develop relationships with clients and cross-department teams.
• Cooperate with partnering security vendors or operations centers.
• Report on program performance and compliance within guidelines.
• Use cellular devices or radios for communication.
• Perform security patrols and monitor access.
• Respond to emergencies and contact authorities as needed.
• Permit authorized entry and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departures to prevent theft; prepare incident reports.
• Assist employees and visitors in a safe environment.
• Attend project meetings to assess security implications.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass the SPAT or sign attestation prior to start date.
• Passing the SPAT is required.

We are currently seeking experienced (part time) Security Officers with high integrity and professionalism with the ability to work, when called upon, in multiple Surefox locations servicing a variety of different clients.

PTE Security Officers are tasked with numerous functions in providing support to multiple programs within Surefox. You will be working on uniquely assigned projects under the guidance of the ISOC when called upon. The ISOC PTE Security Officer is responsible for providing observation, physical security, and overwatch to assigned clients throughout Surefox Programs. Due to the sensitive nature of this role, we require our officers to pass a comprehensive background check. We are looking for someone who is a team player and willing to fulfill a variety of roles as needed when called upon. ISOC PTE Security Officers when activated will be assigned to existing Surefox programs or special events located in the vicinity of both San Francisco and Sunnyvale, CA.

What You Will Do:

• Support staffing requirements at multiple Surefox campus locations during shortages due to vacations, call-offs, no shows, suspensions, holidays, or other program needs
• Support and staff various positions, including, but not limited to the following job positions, as required:
  • Resilience Officer, Incident Commander, Supervisor
• Work security at events, as required
• If offered the opportunity, are expected to work on weekends and holidays with limited notice, and work during "high need" periods
• Expect to work and support multiple shifts, to include; Days, Swings, and Graves
• Staff multiple office locations until permanent Resilience Officer or Incident Commanders can be hired
• Be familiar and comply with standard operating procedures set by programs and/or clients you may be assisting
• Develop relationships with clients, facilitate collaboration, and have the ability to influence informally across different departments within the team
• Cooperate with partnering security vendors or operations centers
• Track and report on program performance assurance and compliance requirements within the provided guidelines
• Utilize basic electronic communications devices, including cellular devices or radios
• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot, while monitoring access
• Watch for unusual activity and respond immediately and safely to emergency situations onsite
• Contact the police or fire department if and when there is an emergency
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property
• Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Provide assistance to employees and create a safe and friendly environment for visitors and clients in a professional manner
• Attend project meetings upon request to assess the security implications of proposed changes
• Work independently and adapt to various work-paces while always maintaining a high level of attentiveness and energy

What is Required:

• GSOC PTE Security Officers must be highly motivated Security Professionals who possess the ability to work at multiple Surefox locations with minimal training and supervision
• Must be willing to work Days, Swings, and Grave shifts
• Must be willing to work holidays and weekends
• Must be eligible for employment within the United States
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old per state licensing guidelines
• Possess a valid and current driver license and a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening (Surefox will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all requirements of State and local laws, regulations or codes)
• Must live within driving distance of San Francisco Bay Area or be willing to relocate
• Must have a current BSIS guard card
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies
• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• All applicants must be able to pass the Surefox Physical Agility Test (SPAT), with or without reasonable accommodation, or sign an attestation stating they can pass, prior to the scheduled start date
  • Please be aware that passing the physical agility test is a requirement for this position.
  • The SPAT is a timed sequence of multiple physical events requiring you to progress along a predetermined path from event to event in a continuous manner until complete

What is Desired:

Compensation $26.00-$30.00 / hour
