Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - FLEX in Fort Madison, IA to support a variety of client sites across healthcare, education, finance, and more.

Work 30-40 hours per week with shifts that change weekly through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. Candidates should be adaptable, dependable, and ready for irregular shifts with little advance notice. This role offers hands-on experience and a path to growth within a leader in security.

Qualifications

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be able to travel required distances.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary.

Pay Rate: $19.05 / Hour

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post

• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
