Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer Flex in Plainfield, IL. This role features flexible shifts and multiple client-site postings, with duties including access control, patrols, and professional interactions with employees and guests.

You will receive training, work in varying weather, and contribute to safeguarding people and property while supporting a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required, OR ability to complete GED program within 6 months.
• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record required.
• CPR certification preferred (provided).
• Pre-employment screening including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct patrols inside and outside the client's premises.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazards, or suspicious activity.
• Assist with crowd control and de-escalation as needed.
• Interact professionally with clients and guests on-site.

Security Officer Flex

Schedule: Flexible / Multiple shifts available at various client sites

Location: Plainfield, IL

Pay: $18.71/Hour

What Your Day May Look Like:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct patrols inside and outside the client's premises in various weather conditions.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
• Set up barriers / signage and provide direction or information to others.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Position Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record required.

• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Customer service background preferred.
• CPR certification preferred (provided).
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout the shift.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in Securitas’ pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
