Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Security Officer for Atlanta, Georgia to protect personnel and property, monitor access points, patrol facilities, and respond to emergencies.

Requirements include two years of college or equivalent, or two years’ security/military experience, or a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice; a valid driver’s license is required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; schedule Monday–Friday, 3PM–11PM; E-Verify participation noted.

• Provides protection for individuals and property from injury and/or criminal acts, prevents unauthorized entry, and responds to emergency situations. Provides cargo screening if assigned.

Essential Functions

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points.
• Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work/Domicile Location

This position will be in Atlanta, Georgia.

Minimum Education

• Two (2) years college/equivalent.

Minimum Experience

• Two (2) years' experience in law enforcement/military/security or a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations. Ability to successfully complete required training programs. Strong oral and written communication skills.

Job Conditions

• If posted for Global Screening team, requirements include successful completion of cargo screening training and certification.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicle.
• Non-covered safety sensitive position.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.

Shift Schedule

• The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday 3PM-11PM.

Relocation

• Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

Pay: Minimum: $22.25/hr - Maximum: $31.15/hr
