Responsibilities

• Screen personnel, visitors, packages and property entering or leaving the facility per site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documents and report unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and follow emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and document observations.

As a Security Officer Facility Screening in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment to inspect packages and help identify prohibited or unauthorized items. You will maintain a visible presence, support access procedures, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and help promote a secure environment. Pay Rate: $15.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM
• Tue 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM
• Fri 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM
• Sat 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM
• Sun 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or team members by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related screening activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or property entering or leaving the facility in accordance with established site policies and procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building entrances, trailer yards, loading areas, and the business perimeter, and document observations and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
