Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Experienced Hospital Patrol in Emporia, VA. You will monitor healthcare locations, deter unauthorized activity, and provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.

• Possess a guard card or license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control, and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Pay Rate: $18.80 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Possess a guard card or license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
