Allied Universal in Aiea, HI seeks a Security Officer – Evening Patrol Driver to join our part-time team at a busy retail location. You will drive patrols, deter incidents, respond to concerns with clear communication, and document activity using site technology.

No armed requirements; unarmed driving patrol at a mall environment. Excellent customer service skills, a valid driver's license, and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and property staff by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to deter incidents and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
• Monitor access points and respond to alarms and suspicious activity in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Document incidents and patrol activity in reports or electronic systems and communicate updates to site leadership.
• Assist with maintaining orderly conditions and support loss prevention and crowd management during peak times.

You will document activity and support the team using site technology. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail property.


• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout common areas, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or property concerns.


• Monitor access points and respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and local responders as needed.


• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate notable updates to site leadership and incoming officers.


• Help to maintain orderly conditions by providing direction, de-escalating disturbances when possible, and supporting retail loss prevention and crowd management during peak traffic and special events.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
