Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and retrieve access badges, and maintain logs.
• Respond to access-control alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document incidents and visitor activity and communicate information to leadership.

As an Access Control Officer at a technology data center location, you will help support a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and documenting visitor activity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and retrieve access badges, and maintain accurate access-control logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating incidents through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the facility perimeter, and surrounding areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and visitor activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
