Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Administration in Williamsport, MD. This position offers flexible, fixed shifts with a base schedule and opportunities to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Role involves access control, badge handling, and incident response alongside customer service for clients, employees, visitors, and contractors. A security background and license are preferred, with a six-month commitment to anchor shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Monitor and manage access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, issuing temporary access materials, and communicating access requirements to authorized personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, business operations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and logs for visitor activity, access control events, incidents, and other security-related observations.

• Sun: 08:00 PM - 06:30 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
