Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Enhanced Perimeter Patrol in Oxford, OH to provide reliable, flexible coverage at a retail site. The role offers anchor shifts with the option to pick extra shifts through the scheduling platform to earn more.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Candidate must be 18+ years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass background and drug screening. Excellent customer service and situational awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout common areas, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, helping to deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and policy violations.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Perimeter Patrol in Oxford, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
