Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Tampa, FL to provide customer service and security at a technology/telecom site. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform, helping you increase earnings while maintaining a reliable base schedule.

The position emphasizes safety, alertness, and professional conduct, with minimum requirements including a HS diploma and background check.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, building perimeter, and other assigned areas to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, or maintenance issues.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Checkpoint in Tampa, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
