Responsibilities

• Monitor access at the front desk, verify visitor and vendor credentials, issue badges or passes, and maintain visitor logs.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and information, and route inquiries as needed.
• Monitor front-desk activity, alarms, cameras, and access-control systems and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with emergency responders when appropriate.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Arrival Management in Lakeland, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, drivers, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Monitor access at the front desk, verify visitor and vendor credentials, issue badges or passes as directed, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general information, and route inquiries to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor front-desk activity, alarms, cameras, and access-control systems as assigned, reporting unusual activity or equipment concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and coordinate with emergency responders and/or designated site contacts when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
