Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Maysville, KY. This unarmed, fixed-shift role offers reliable hours with the option to pick up extra shifts and increase earnings through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. The pay rate is $15.50 per hour, with daytime Friday hours from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

A six-month anchor shift commitment applies. The position emphasizes customer service, site-specific procedures, patrols, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Criminal background check as per laws.
• Drug screen where permitted by law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe vehicle and pedestrian activity in accordance with site policies, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Maysville, KY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
