Allied Universal in Markham, IL is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver to provide reliable, flexible hours at a technology-focused site with a fixed shift and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform. Pay rate is $19.75 per hour, with a schedule of DayTime Fri 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM Sat 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM.

The role offers a six-month anchor shift, the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program, and the chance to build up to 40 hours per week

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Markham, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Fri 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM Sat 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support site operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access activity and visitor movement in accordance with site-specific requirements, and report unauthorized access attempts or security-related concerns.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observed conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
