As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Customer Service in Buffalo, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Thur: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by following security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, parking lots, perimeter access points, and exterior grounds to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
