Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen will be conducted as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at a technology data center by security-related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations for site contacts or responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including exterior perimeters and access points.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records following access-control and confidentiality procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Security Support in Lenoir, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.09 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site requirements, helping to deter unauthorized access to critical infrastructure areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and communicate with appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including exterior perimeters, access control points, and operational areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Assist with maintaining accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records while following established access‑control and confidentiality procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required .
