Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Coordinator in Tampa, FL. This role offers reliable, fixed anchor shifts with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will provide front-desk customer service, verify IDs, manage visitor logs, monitor cameras, and respond to incidents with calm professionalism. The position pays $17.50 per hour with part-time hours in the listed schedule.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Coordinator in Tampa, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed06:00 PM - 10:00 PMFri06:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government office front desk by carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies.
• Control access to the location by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to appropriate offices or departments.
• Monitor entry activity, cameras, alarms, and/or other security‑related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of visitors, incidents, deliveries, and other front‑desk activities while providing a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
