As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time, you will support museum operations through security procedures, patrols, and access control while maintaining a professional, calm presence and ensuring guest safety.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to museum visitors, staff, vendors, and contractors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of galleries, public spaces, offices, loading areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and assist visitors with directions and questions.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies and document observations.
• Protect artwork, exhibits, equipment, and property by following established protocols.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Property Patrol in Cleveland, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sat - 04:30 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to museum visitors, staff, vendors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of galleries, public spaces, offices, loading areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and museum-related questions, and help maintain an orderly environment for guests and staff.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Support the protection of artwork, exhibits, equipment, and property by observing established protocols and reporting suspicious behavior or unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
