Job summary

Allied Universal in Ellenwood, GA is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide visitor and site security, patrols, and access control on a fixed-shift schedule. This role offers reliable hours at a designated site with opportunities to earn more by picking up extra shifts through the scheduling platform.

The position requires a minimum of one year in armed security or related fields, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and daily documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
