Job summary

Allied Universal in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Assignment to provide reliable, customer‑focused security at an assigned site. You’ll be part of a team that supports safety and a collaborative workplace.

This flexible role offers fixed anchor shifts with a six‑month commitment and opportunities to earn more by claiming additional shifts through our scheduling platform, at $20.25 per hour, with paid training and opportunities to grow within the industry.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-condition notifications, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Assignment in Buffalo, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri06:30 AM - 02:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
