Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to provide reliable, on-site security at an industrial location. The role offers fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up additional hours through our scheduling platform, allowing earnings growth while maintaining work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, docks, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and document observations for site contacts and responders.
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports while maintaining a professional presence.

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.


• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, delivery drivers, and visitors in accordance with site procedures.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.


• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
