The role pays $17.98 per hour and offers daytime shifts with anchor schedules. You will provide customer service, respond to incidents, perform patrols, monitor access points, and document incidents per site procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns calmly and report procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of shipping, receiving areas, docks, parking, offices, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and traffic; report irregularities and hazards to site personnel.
• Document observations and patrol activity and communicate with site contacts and dispatch.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrolin Columbus, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.98 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of shipping and receiving areas, loading docks, parking areas, office spaces, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and vehicle traffic in accordance with site-specific requirements; report irregularities and/or potential hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate with site contacts, dispatch, and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
