Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Criminal histories considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at the front desk of a manufacturing/industrial site while following site security procedures.
• Manage visitor access by greeting guests, verifying IDs, issuing credentials, and directing to contacts.
• Monitor entry activity, alarms, and surveillance and report unusual activity per site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and notify appropriate contacts or emergency responders.
• Maintain daily logs and incident reports and support a professional front‑desk environment.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Lobby Security in Chesterfield, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at the front desk of a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Manage visitor access by greeting guests, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign‑in records, and directing individuals to appropriate contacts or areas.
• Monitor entry activity, communications, alarms, and surveillance systems as assigned; report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while supporting a professional and welcoming front‑desk environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
