Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Lobby Security in Bloomington, MN. This role offers reliable, flexible hours with fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up extra shifts.

You will greet visitors, screen access, monitor alarms, and respond to incidents, delivering professional customer service at a technology-focused site while earning $20 per hour. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and background check.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• Staff the front desk and greet visitors professionally, verify identification and appointments, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, alarms, and communications systems from the reception area; report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Support a professional lobby environment by providing directions, answering general inquiries, and helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Lobby Security in Bloomington, MN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri09:00 PM - 05:00 AMSat09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
