As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Operations in Jacksonville, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to members, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of financial institution facilities, parking areas, ATM locations, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain required armed‑post qualifications, handle assigned equipment responsibly, and complete accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
