Allied Universal in Lansing, MI is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Oversight to provide reliable security services at an assigned site with flexible hours and opportunities to pick up additional shifts. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control functions, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document access activity according to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff, visitors, and first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports related to access events, incidents, and daily activities, and report concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Oversight in Lansing, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
