Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Maintain accurate access logs, incident reports, and shift activity documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Administration in Northampton, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.03 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Candidates must be proficient in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes navigating software applications, managing emails, and utilizing online tools effectively.

• Customer Service Experience (B219)Candidates should possess a background in customer service, demonstrating the ability to interact positively with clients and resolve issues efficiently. Experience in handling customer inquiries and providing support is essential.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Posess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
