Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Verification in Whitakers, NC. This role offers flexible, reliable hours and opportunities to grow within the industry leader.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour, with a fixed anchor shift and option to pick up additional shifts through our platform. You'll monitor access, assist employees and visitors, and respond to incidents while maintaining site procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Background check required by federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required prior to employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply locally/sate.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter, with environment variance by site.
• Report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations while helping deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Verification in Whitakers, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access‑related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying throughout the location.
• Report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations while helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
