Responsabilidades

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies at a technology-focused location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, alarms, and communications systems, reporting unusual conditions or access concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations calmly and professionally, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Maintain a professional front-desk presence, answer calls, provide directions, and support a welcoming environment while deterring unauthorized access.

As a Security Officer Lobby Access Enhanced Part Time in Charlottesville, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri06:00 PM - 04:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including coordinating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Maintain a professional front‑desk presence, answer incoming calls, provide directions, and support a welcoming environment while helping to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
