Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Baton certification preferred.
• Background check and drug screening required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide client security using site-specific procedures and, when needed, emergency response.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report/escalate per procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols across facilities and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and document visitor and vehicle activity per site procedures.
• Carry assigned equipment, including an authorized firearm, per laws and site requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Berkeley, MO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security‑related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout distribution facilities, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Carry assigned equipment, including an authorized firearm, in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, training, and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's licence will be required for driving positions only.
