Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) seeks a Security Officer to safeguard facilities and personnel at Simsbury. Reporting to the Security Supervisor, you will enforce access control, monitor CCTV, respond to alarms, and coordinate emergency actions to protect assets and critical missions.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain DoD secret clearance and BATFE possessor license. EMT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; EMT certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain DoD secret clearance and BATFE possessor license.
• Strong written communication for electronic reports.
• Ability to read and follow rules, policies and procedures.
• Experience with security equipment and access control is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Protect physical security and safety of EBAD facilities and personnel.
• Enforce access control for employees, contractors and visitors.
• Monitor alarms and CCTV; respond to incidents and emergencies.
• Perform patrols and building inspections; report deficiencies.
• Document incidents, visitors and responses using forms and systems.
• Coordinate with security control and emergency responders as needed.
