Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions is seeking a Security Officer/Driver in Gulfport, MS. The role funds alarm and patrol duties and supports transportation under supervision, ensuring life and property protection. Administers safety procedures while aligning with government and contract directives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an organized security setting.
• Must obtain CDL within 90 days of employment and maintain DOT medical certification.
• Pass background check and mandatory DOT/CDL drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to learning sites and manage multiple shifts.
• Ensure security of buildings by checking doors, lights, and alarms; log findings.
• Assist in reception, visitor control, and switchboard operations as needed.
• Monitor urinalyses and Breathalyzer testing when required.
• Transport ill or injured students as necessary.
• Respond to fire alarms, report, and assist in suppression; reset equipment.
• Operate light vehicles; comply with DOT drug/alcohol testing and schedules.
• Maintain accountability of students and property per safety policies.
• Foster a respectful, harassment-free environment for staff and students.
