Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Experienced Patrol Driver in Forest Park, IL. You will perform unarmed patrols, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible security presence across various sites including Retail/Malls and Cultural Institutions.

The role requires a valid driver’s license for driving posts, a minimum of 1 year in security, and a HS diploma or equivalent. You will join a team focused on safety, reliability, and excellent service while building a flexible

Responsibilities

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols across retail and cultural institution locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and provide exceptional customer service. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving post. Pay Rate: $17.41 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM


• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM


• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, tenants, and/or congregation members by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.


• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate contacts and document activities according to site procedures.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail, office, worship, and cultural gathering areas, including entrances, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter locations.


• Observe and report unusual activity, property concerns, and potential hazards; help to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and disruptive conduct through a professional presence.


• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and/or patrol logs while communicating professionally with site representatives, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.


• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
