Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Controlled Entry in Albertville, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and conducting routine patrols. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, authorization, delivery appointments, and visitor or contractor credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs of visitors, contractors, drivers, vehicle arrivals and departures, and access-control activities; report discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, including entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
