Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Fairfax, VA with an active DoD Secret Clearance for a DoD security-focused role. You will patrol, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional, service-oriented presence at an aerospace/defense location.

The position requires at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid guard card.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly per site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity per site requirements and escalate as needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, reporting discrepancies and following established escalation procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while supporting Allied Universal and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
