As a Security Officer in Merrimack, NH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a defense‑related location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor information, and help to support security‑related protocols for restricted or sensitive areas.
• Complete routine logs, incident reports, and shift communications while working collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding security‑related matters.

Minimum Requirements

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
