Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Davenport, FL to perform document verification, screen individuals and materials, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service. This role offers Tue/Wed 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM shifts with a pay rate of $15.70 per hour.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of security experience, be 18+ (or 21+ for armed), and be comfortable

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and security-related policies.
• Screen authorized personnel, vehicles, and permitted items entering or leaving the distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, documentation, and visitor authorization as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, the business, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
