Job summary

Allied Universal in Lathrop, CA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Digital Entry to manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors at a food and beverage site.

You will use computer/tablet systems and provide outstanding customer service while supporting daily operations and safety. Day and evening shifts are available; a HS diploma is required and background/drug screening processes apply.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a food and beverage manufacturing location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, screening visitors, contractors, and deliveries, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with maintaining a controlled environment for personnel, visitors, and product movement by reporting irregularities, documenting incidents, and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
